The four SUVs that Maruti now provides are the Grand Vitara, Jimny, Fronx, and Brezza.
Based on the strong performance of models such as the Brezza and the Fronx, Maruti Suzuki India anticipates recording its highest-ever fiscal sport utility vehicle (SUV) volume in FY24, at about 455,000 units. This information comes from a senior company official.
The Brezza, Fronx, Jimny, and Grand Vitara are the four SUVs that the biggest automaker in the nation sells. In the domestic market, Maruti sold 320,311 SUVs between April and December of FY24.
With 124,215 units, the Brezza was the company’s main volume driver, followed by the Fronx with 94,393 units. There were 85,497 sales of the Grand Vitara. Even though these three SUVs did well, the Jimny’s poor performance—it sold just 16,206 units—was the biggest letdown.

Maruti’s Senior Executive Officer for Marketing and Sales, Shashank Srivastava, responded to a query from India Today on the SUV volume prediction for FY24 by saying, “For the whole fiscal, our SUV volume should be around 455,000 units.”
As a point of comparison, in FY23, the company sold 202,000 SUVs. Brezza and Grand Vitara were the only two SUV vehicles in its lineup for the previous fiscal year.
Maruti’s goal of setting a record volume of SUVs in FY24 received a significant boost with the April 2023 launch of the Fronx. Although the company has not yet released the Fronx’s entire month volume for January 2024, it has announced that the sub-4-meter SUV has sold 100,000 units.
