PM Modi leads a roadshow in Kochi and stops at temples during his two-day trip to Kerala.
Tuesday at Kochi, Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed during a roadshow.
The Prime Minister was greeted at Kochi airport upon his arrival for a two-day visit to Kerala by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, MoS V Muraleedharan, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar, and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. From the Maharaja College grounds to the government guest house, his roadshow took place.
Wednesday at 6.30 a.m., Modi will depart for Guruvayur, where he will attend the nuptials of actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi’s daughter and offer prayers at the well-known Lord Krishna temple. According to the sources who spoke to PTI, he would also pray at the Triprayar Sree Rama Swami Temple in the Thrissur district before leaving for Kochi.

He will dedicate the Cochin Shipyard Ltd. international vessel repair center and new dry dock at Kochi’s Willingdon Island to the country, according to a statement. Later, at Marine Drive, he would speak at a party gathering attended by over 6,000 “shakti kendra” in-charges, each of which consists of two to three booth-level zones.
nearly 7,000 booth in-charges will attend the meeting the next day, according to BJP Ernakulam district president K S Shaiju, who also stated that nearly 50,000 party workers would participate in the road show on Tuesday.
As BJP supporters gathered outside the Government Law College to observe the Prime Minister’s roadshow became enraged, activists from the Kerala Students Union (KSU) raised a banner calling on Modi to return, creating a tense environment outside the college. According to images on TV, the enraged BJP supporters surged towards the campus entrance but were halted and sent away by the police stationed there.
Tuesday morning, Modi paid a visit to the ancient Veerabhadra temple located in the Sri Satyasai area of Andhra Pradesh. The Ramayana and Hinduism both place great emphasis on the temple. Modi sang songs in honor of Lord Ram, heard devotions to the god performed in Telugu, and saw a puppet performance depicting Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Ravana from the epic Ramayana.
