AAP ministers stated that after today’s ED search, Kejriwal is anticipated to be taken into custody.

In late-night tweets on Wednesday, AAP ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi made hints that they knew the ED may search Kejriwal’s house early the next day.

Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj of Delhi learned late on Wednesday night that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will likely be placed under arrest on Thursday morning after an ED search of his residence. According to reports, the ED will raid @ArvindKejriwal’s house early tomorrow. On Wednesday, around 11:50 p.m., Atishi tweeted, “Arrest probable.” Two minutes later, Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj tweeted the exact same message in Hindi: “Got to know ED is anticipated to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal when they arrive to his home tomorrow morning.”

The BJP reacted angrily to Kejriwal’s decision to declare the ED summons illegal and forgo it for the third time in relation to the alleged liquor scam that precipitated the late-night allegations.

Arvind Kejriwal’s home was under heightened protection on Thursday morning. What worries does Arvind Kejriwal have? Has he abandoned Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, who are now serving jail terms connected to the liquor excise scam? The party wrote on Twitter, “Instead of ignoring the ED summons, Kejriwal should teach the leaders of the I.N.D.I. Alliance lessons in corruption, as they too can benefit from his experience.” If he thought the ED summons was illegal, why wasn’t he lodging a complaint, the BJP leaders asked.

Even though Kejriwal had administrative duties in Delhi before to the Madhya Pradesh and Diwali campaigns, he ignored the initial summons that were sent out on November 2. Just one day before the next summons, which was set for December 21, did Kejriwal go for his vipassana. In an email to ED on November 3, Kejriwal stated that, although he was ready to answer the questionnaire if one was sent, his main focus was on the Rajya Sabha elections. Kejriwal claims that the agency disregarded his earlier contact in which he requested further information regarding the purpose of his call.

Kejriwal responded to the ED summons by saying, “As the Chief Minister of Delhi, I am also quite occupied in planning and preparations for several programs,” in his most recent statement. The activities culminating in Republic Day on January 26, 2024.”

On Thursday, the second part of the Main Bhi Kejriwal campaign will get underway. Before this, the party conducted a survey among 2.4 million city homes to find out if people thought Kejriwal should resign from office or go on leading the government while he was in jail. The party claims that it is clear from public opinion that Kejriwal shouldn’t resign.
