Built at Ayodhya, the Ram Temple was built using national indigenous and traditional technology. The foundation of the temple is a layer of roller-compacted concrete, 14 meters thick, giving the structure the appearance of artificial rock.
Ram Mandir in Ayodhya: A diamond dealer from Surat, Gujarat, donated an exquisite crown to the Ram Lalla at the newly built Ayodhya temple, valued at Rs. 11 crore, as a charity effort. The very accurate six-kilogram crown is adorned with gold, diamonds, and other costly gems.
The head of the Green Lab Diamond Company in Surat, Mukesh Patel, personally flew to Ayodhya with his family to present the beautifully created crown to the administrators of the temple trust. The businessman presented the chief priest of the Ram Mandir and the trustees of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust with the crown during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rite.
The crown’s characteristics
The crown, which has pearl strings on the right side, was made following careful measurements of the head of the Ram Lalla statue, which were made by two workers from the Surat company who were dispatched to Ayodhya on January 5. There are apparently more decorations for Ram Lalla included in the donation.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s national treasurer, Dinesh Navdia, emphasized the importance of each piece of jewellery on the idol, pointing out that the presence of silver toys, such a rattle, elephant, horse, camel, toy cart, and spinning top, reflects the deity’s age of five. This charitable donation is evidence of the public’s love and respect for the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
The ornaments of Ram Lalla
According to the temple trust, a great deal of research and study of scriptures like the Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and the Alavandar Stotram went into creating the embellishments for the Ram Lalla statue dedicated at the opulent Ayodhya shrine. The decorations were made by Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers, located in Lucknow and owned by Ankur Anand.
“Ram Lalla is dressed in Banarasi cloth, with a scarlet pataka/angavastram and a yellow dhoti. According to a member of the temple trust, these angavastrams are adorned with threads and pure gold “zari,” which features the auspicious Vaishnav symbols Shankh, Padma, Chakra, and Mayur. Manish Tripathi, a textile designer from Delhi who worked on the project from Ayodhya Dham, made these outfits, he claimed.
The magnificent Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir was constructed in the traditional Nagara style. Its measurements are 161 feet high, 250 feet broad, and 380 feet long (east-west). It is supported altogether by 392 pillars and has 44 entrances. Beautifully carved images of Hindu gods and goddesses decorate the temple’s walls and pillars.
The idol of Shri Ram Lalla, Bhagwan Shri Ram, in his youthful form, is housed in the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground level. Situated on the eastern side of the temple, the main entrance may be reached by climbing 32 stairs via the Singh Dwar.
The Mandir consists of the following five “mandaps”: Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prathana Mandap, Kirtan Mandap, and Nritya Mandap. A historic well from antiquity called Sita Koop is located next to the temple.
‘Pran Pratishtha’, Ram Temple
The Ram Lalla idol was revealed at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple on January 22, following the conduct of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the “historic” Ram temple in Ayodhya. Later on, he carried out the essential Hindu ceremonies, signifying the absorption of divine force into the statue. At the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi conducted the Ram Lalla idol’s “aarti” following the “Pran Pratishtha” ritual.
