How come Rahul Gandhi was the target of a FIR from the Assam Police?
After registering a FIR against many Congress leaders, the Assam police took suo moto note of the alleged violence that occurred during the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. To prevent public employees from doing their duties, causing damage to public property, and other offenses, the police have tightened up on provisions that deal with criminal conspiracy, illegal assembly, rioting, assault, and use of force. The Assam CID has taken up the case, according to Director General of Police G P Singh.
Gandhi was the target of a FIR that Himanta Biswa Sarma had ordered. Gandhi was accused of inciting the throng on Tuesday to breach barriers and enter Guwahati.
Four police officers, as well as a number of Congress employees and officials, were slightly hurt during the altercation.
According to the Assam administration, the Congress activists attempted to use the Guwahati roadway despite being told to travel a highway to reach the Kamrup (rural) area.
Due to Ram Temple celebrations on Monday, Sarma requested that Gandhi avoid visiting Srimanta Sankardeva’s birthplace in Nagaon district, Assamese icon. Gandhi was forbidden by letter from going to the shrine.

Rahul Gandhi dared Himanta Biswa Sarma and the BJP
Rahul Gandhi issued a challenge to the Assam administration today to bring as many cases as possible.
I have no clue where Himanta Biswa Sarma got the notion that he could scare me by bringing legal action. Add 25 more instances to the file. “I am not afraid of the BJP-RSS,” he went on.
In response to the Congress’s accusation that the Yatra was being halted in Assam earlier today, Sarma stated: “How did they go from Nagaon to Barpeta…by a rocket launcher? All that was requested of them was to take a different road instead of the one they were ordered to take. They engaged in aggressive behavior, targeting on-duty public employees.”
For a few days now, Gandhi and Sarma have been exchanging sharp barbs. They have both referred to one another as corrupt and cowards.
Sarma said that Gandhi left the city in his opulent bus in a post on X.”Interesting. Rahul Gandhi, who is on a bus yatra, discreetly left his opulent bus and drove a tiny vehicle to Hajo, his next location, before encouraging Congressmen to plan acts of violence. Rahul has redefined what it means to be a Darpok. Ha ha.
