With several new features, MG Motor debuted the 2024 Astor in India on Friday. However, the automaker hasn’t altered the new model in any way, either materially or cosmetically.

Variants and Cost
The 2024 Astor is available from MG Motor in five different configurations: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. Starting at ₹9.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the price is set.
New features
It’s an SUV with extra amenities including auto-dimming IRVMs (internal rear view mirrors), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charger. Updates have also been made to the iSMART user interface.
The iSMART 2.0 system is said to come with over 80 connection functions by the firm. Passengers may also provide requests like the weather, cricket updates, calculator, clock, date/day information, horoscope, dictionary, news, and knowledge using a speech recognition technology based on Jio.
Other features
These consist of an electric driver’s seat adjuster, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, and automatic climate control. On the other hand, the advanced driver assistance system, or ADAS, has not changed.
Powertrain
There are two petrol engine options available for it. A 1.5-liter normally aspirated engine produces 108 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque, compared to 138 bhp and 144 Nm of maximum power and peak torque, respectively, from a 1.3-liter turbocharged unit. Furthermore, the latter may be coupled to an automatic CVT (continuously variable transmission) or a 5-speed manual gearbox, but the former only has a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission.
