Budget for the Yodhya Ram Mandir: At least 7,000 people are expected to witness the big “pran prathistha” (consecration) ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22 (Monday). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the ceremony, which will mark the completion of the Ram Mandir, which is expected to cost Rs 1,800 crore.
With technical support from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consulting Engineers are handling the design and construction of the Ram Mandir.

The secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, Champat Rai, has previously stated that Rs 900 crore had been spent on the construction of the temple between February 5, 2020 and March 31, 2023. He stated that the trust’s bank accounts still contain more than Rs 3,000 crore.

The “Pran Prathistha” ritual at Ram Mandir
Several distinguished people are expected to attend the consecration event on January 22. Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu, former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad, industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and S N Subrahmanyan of the L&T Group, and founder of Infosys, NR Narayana Murthy and his wife, novelist Sudha Murty, have all received invitations.
Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and many opposition leaders are among the others who have also received invitations. The invitation was turned down by Congress leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Sonia Gandhi.
Film celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and others have also received invites along with them.
Interestingly, not all of the temple has been built yet. Misra had previously informed The Indian Express that “the first and second floors of the temple will be ready by December 2024, even as the entire carving work will be complete by the end of 2025.”
